The Cock O’ the North: Regimental March…

This is the regimental march of the Gordon Highlanders, The Cock O’ the North.  Best listened to with the volume on full and a large neat glass of Dalwhinnie.

As a footnote, the 48th Highlanders of Toronto (i.e., Peregrine Acland’s regiment) are an allied regiment to the Gordon’s, though I do not now when this arrangement was formalized.  An allied regiment is sort of the military equivalent of sister cities, but it’s more than that.  Typically a regiment with a long and glorious history in the UK, like the Seaforth Highlanders, becomes allied with a similar regiment in a Commonwealth Country, like the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada, for example.
